Based on a survey of business leaders that ranks which markets are likely to attract the most investment in the next three years, we find that investor sentiments reveal a variety of paradoxes in the environment for FDI, many of which can be explained by the rise of the age of multi-localism. Consumer confidence index is an important economic indicator for investors and measures the degree of optimism of consumers about the economy. United States Consumer Sentiment - data, historical chart, forecasts and calendar of releases - was last updated on March of 2020. Consumer Confidence in the United States averaged 86.70 points from 1952 until 2020, reaching an all time high of 111.40 points in January of 2000 and a record low of 51.70 points in May of 1980. Investor confidence is one of the main drivers of equity markets.
